Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a Controller for the EMEA West region to lead local financial reporting and accounting for UK, Middle East and Africa operations. This role reports to the EMEA Regional Controller and supports planning, forecasting and analytics with global finance partners.

The position is based in London with a hybrid work model (four days in-office weekly). Candidates should be a qualified accountant with 10+ years in multinational finance, strong SOX experience, and proven leadership

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a multinational organisation.
• Experience in financial close, consolidation, and reporting across multiple legal entities.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence stakeholders across global finance functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close, financial audits, and tax/statutory reporting with support from US and shared services.
• Lead the local finance team structure, training, mentoring and career development.
• Maintain internal controls and processes for a US‑listed company to achieve global harmonization.
• Coordinate with regional leaders to ensure forecast and budget accuracy and timely reporting.
• Drive system/process improvements and supervise country projects and external advisers.
