Job summary

Britax Römer in Andover is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant EMEA to join our Finance team on a permanent basis. You’ll support the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across seven EMEA entities and help deliver monthly management accounts and robust financial controls.

Working across multiple jurisdictions, you’ll assist with VAT, Intrastat, audit support, balance sheet reconciliations, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires AAT or studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA; part-qualified is desirable.
• Experience with general ledger, AP and AR processes.
• ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across seven EMEA entities.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with VAT returns and Intrastat reporting.
• Support internal and external audits and liaise with auditors.
• Ensure robust financial controls and audit-ready documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes.
• Work with cross-border teams across UK and Germany.
