Job summary

Bio-Techne Corp. in Abingdon is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the finance team with month-end and year-end processes. You will assist VAT reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany activities across multiple entities. The role requires strong Excel skills and ERP experience.

The ideal candidate has AAT or equivalent, good English communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting background and solid financial experience.
• AAT qualification or equivalent by experience required.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close for multiple entities across regions.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Maintain intercompany balances and clear differences.
• Prepare data for foreign VAT and Intrastat filings.
• Assist year-end audits and statutory financial statements.
