Job summary

Google London, UK; Dublin, Ireland is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel focusing on EMEA export controls and sanctions. You will advise cross-functional teams on regulatory risk and help shape compliance strategies for products and services in a fast-evolving tech landscape.

The role is part of Google’s Export Legal team, collaborating with Product Counsel, Regulatory Affairs, Policy and Trust and Safety to navigate complex international trade laws and ensure lawful global operations.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the state of location.
• 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.

Responsibilities

• Analyze EMEA export and sanctions laws and assess impact on products and services.
• Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to advise on export of goods from EMEA jurisdictions.
• Provide export compliance support for audits and respond to queries from cross-functional teams.
• Stay up to date on export control developments in EMEA and implement guidance to the program.
• Prepare license applications and other governmental filings as needed.
