JetBrains in London seeks a Compliance Manager specializing in Export Controls and Sanctions to lead the global program and ensure adherence to evolving regulations. You will co-lead classification, licensing and tech transfer processes across cross-border transactions.

Ideal candidates bring extensive EU and US trade compliance experience, strong regulatory interpretation, and excellent communication. The role offers a flexible hybrid setup with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in EU and U.S. trade compliance, preferably in tech or global software.
• Strong knowledge of EU export control regulations (EU ECC) and EAR.
• Ability to interpret software and AI features for export classification.
• Excellent communication and business-oriented judgment; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead the global export controls and sanctions program for JetBrains.
• Monitor EU/US export controls, sanctions, and enforcement trends.
• Manage classification, licensing, and technology transfer processes.
• Provide guidance on high-risk transactions, M&A, market entry and partner onboarding.
• Develop workflows, documentation, and automation for trade compliance.
• Serve as escalation point for restricted country and high-risk reviews.
• Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Product, Procurement, Finance, and Security on cross-border compliance.
• Assist in investigations and reviews related to sanctions and export controls.
