Job summary

Leonardo UK in Edinburgh is seeking an EMC Engineer to join our Radar and Advanced Targeting team. You will contribute to EMC modelling, analysis, and testing across the full product lifecycle, collaborating with senior engineers in a UKAS accredited EMC test facility.

You will work on pre‑compliance through formal qualification testing, applying defence and aviation standards, and supporting certification activities within an innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in EMC test planning and reporting.
• Training or exposure to circuit simulation tools.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC standards in defence/aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Develop EMC modelling and analysis capability in a team.
• Provide EMC input to project teams with modelling and test support.
• Support EMC activities to MIL-STD-461, DO-160, DEF-STAN 59-411 and EFA specs.
• Contribute to EMC testing across radiated and conducted emissions and susceptibility tests.
• Assist pre-compliance and formal qualification testing in a UKAS facility.
