Job summary

Redline Group Ltd in Reading is seeking a skilled Technical Customer Support & Repairs Technician to diagnose, test and repair advanced electronic products in a high‑tech engineering environment. You will handle first/second-line support, manage RMAs and liaise with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to improve repair turnaround and customer experience.

The role requires hands-on fault finding with test equipment, knowledge of embedded systems and strong customer-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electronics Repair or Technical Support.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience fault finding and repairing electronic assemblies or embedded hardware.
• Excellent customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line technical support to customers via phone, email and remote tools.
• Diagnose hardware and system-level issues in embedded computing and RF systems.
• Guide customers through configuration, operation and troubleshooting.
• Manage the complete RMA process from enquiry to product return.
• Carry out hands-on fault finding, testing and repair of electronic assemblies.
• Perform functional and quality verification using standard test equipment.
• Maintain repair records and customer documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams on issues and corrective actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of repair procedures and processes.
• Provide customers with regular updates during investigations and repairs.
