Job summary

Evera Recruitment Ltd is partnering with an innovative climate-tech startup to hire an Embedded Systems Engineer to take technical ownership of its embedded platform built around a novel microbial energy technology.

You'll design ultra-low-power electronics, develop robust C/C++ firmware for low-power MCUs, integrate sensors and wireless connectivity (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, BLE), and take products from prototype to production.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
Experience developing embedded systems in commercial or applied R&D.
Strong electronic design and embedded C/C++ skills.
Experience with platforms such as STM32, Nordic or TI.
Familiarity with LoRaWAN, NB-IoT or BLE.
Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

Owning the architecture of the embedded platform across electronics, firmware and power management.
Designing ultra-low-power electronics, including schematics, PCB layout and hardware debugging.
Developing robust C/C++ firmware for low-power microcontrollers.
Integrating sensors and wireless connectivity such as LoRaWAN, NB-IoT or BLE.
Taking products from prototype through to reliable, manufacturable production.
Running laboratory and field validation to identify failure modes and improvements.
