Job summary

iO Associates is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their Advanced Developments Group in Portsmouth on a hybrid 3 days onsite, for a 6-month contract in the defence and aerospace sector.

You will work on embedded systems, wireless technologies, real-time software, and contribute from concept to deployment, with requirements for C/C++, bare-metal and Embedded Linux, DSP and SDR, and active SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Embedded software development using C/C++ for bare-metal and embedded Linux.
• Experience with DSP and Software Defined Radio (SDR).
• Active SC Clearance and British nationality.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software using C/C++ for bare-metal and embedded Linux.
• Prototype wireless solutions.
• Develop real-time embedded software and firmware.
• Configure embedded Linux using Buildroot, Yocto, U-Boot and Device Trees.
• Support software from prototype through to deployment.
