Job summary

YT Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a defence and security technology client’s Research & Development team. You will design, develop, and support embedded software aligned with the product roadmap, bridging hardware and software in RF environments.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and work with RF DSP applications, using spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers to validate designs.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in embedded software development.
• Solid understanding of Linux operating system concepts.
• Practical knowledge of RF environments, DSP, and hardware debugging tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Eligibility for UK Security Vetting (BPSS minimum required; UK residency conditions apply).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support embedded software aligned with the company's technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to take concepts into production.
• Work closely with RF environment and DSP applications.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers.
• Contribute to process improvements and evaluate new technologies for future product lines.
