Job summary

YT Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced RF Engineer to join the defence/aerospace-focused R&D team. You will deliver expert guidance on RF and microwave design and drive the product lifecycle from concept to prototype.

Develop broadband RF circuits up to 10 GHz, translate client requirements into hardware, document designs, and provide support for in-service products with occasional international travel and security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in RF/microwave design for defence or aerospace.
• Hands-on lab measurement and testing experience.
• Translate briefs into hardware architectures and document designs clearly.
• Eligible for UK security clearance (BPSS or higher).

The Role

• Deliver expert guidance on RF and microwave design within the R&D team.
• Drive the product lifecycle from initial research and specs to prototyping and testing.
• Develop broadband RF circuits spanning MHz to 10+ GHz.
• Translate client requirements into hardware architectures and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide technical support for existing in-service products (occasional international travel required).

Requirements

• Strong background in RF/microwave design within defence, aerospace, or related industries.
• Hands-on laboratory measurement and testing expertise.
• Ability to work from loose customer briefs and perform well under pressure.
• Clear, precise technical documentation skills.
• Must be eligible for UK security clearance (BPSS minimum; higher-level vetting may be required).
