Job summary

QCIC is seeking a Security Engineer to join a client team in London on-site. You will support access control and CCTV project delivery, system programming, testing, commissioning and ongoing operational support across client sites.

The role requires experience with physical security systems, including access control and CCTV, and familiarity with C-Cure 9000, Genetec Security Center Omnicast/Synergis, or Victor VMS. Travel within the UK and Europe is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience with physical security systems, including access control and CCTV platforms.
• Knowledge of C-Cure 9000, Genetec Security Center Omnicast/Synergis or Victor VMS is desirable.
• Understanding of physical security technologies, ICT infrastructure, networking, and server environments.
• Experience supporting security system installations, upgrades, or migrations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in enterprise security systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of access control and CCTV projects, including programming, testing, commissioning and close-out activities.
• Provide remote support for technical issues and break-fix incidents at client sites.
• Assist with planned preventative maintenance and reactive support requirements.
• Participate in RFC process to support maintenance and project activities.
• Maintain commissioning documentation and assist with project handovers.
• Keep project documentation and commissioning records up to date.
• Travel occasionally within the UK and Europe to support project delivery and technical support.
• Assist with configuration and administration of C-Cure and Victor systems, including updates and user requirements.
• Support monitoring and management of incidents through a 24/7 Command Centre environment.
• Liaise with vendors and technical support teams for fault resolution and system improvements.
• Monitor technical bulletins and communicate relevant information on system performance and issues.
• Assist in requirements gathering, testing, deployment and documentation for projects.
• Escalate issues to senior engineers when appropriate.
• Collaborate with global teams and functions.
• Assist in preparing reports on incidents, performance and service delivery.
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure activities comply with company procedures and client requirements.

Job description

We are seeking a Security Engineer to join a client team based in London. You will support the delivery and maintenance of access control and CCTV systems across the client's portfolio, assisting with project implementation, system administration, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational support.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in physical security systems who is looking to further develop their technical skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and client stakeholders to help deliver projects and support day-to-day operational requirements.

This is an on-site role based in the St Paul's area of London, requiring attendance five days per week. Occasional travel within the UK and Europe may be required.

What you will do

• Support the implementation of access control and CCTV projects, including system programming, testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities.
• Provide remote support for technical issues and break-fix incidents across client sites.
• Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and reactive support requirements.
• Participate in the Request for Change (RFC) process to support maintenance and project activities.
• Maintain commissioning documentation and assist with project handovers.
• Keep project documentation and commissioning records accurate and up to date.
• Travel occasionally within the UK and Europe to support project delivery and technical support requirements.
