Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking an Embedded Security Expert in Hebburn to lead cybersecurity for embedded and industrial products. You will shape secure-by-design architectures, perform threat modeling, and drive security assurance across the product lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on C/C++ development, experience with ARM/RTOS, and a track record in vulnerability management and secure coding practices. Join a global R&D team shaping safe, resilient electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of ARM architectures, RTOS, bootloaders and embedded communication protocols.
• Hands-on experience in software development using C/C++.
• Experience in product development within a lean product development process environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support compliance with standards such as IEC 62443, IEC 62351, ISO 27001, NIS2, CRA, and customer security requirements.
• Define secure architectures for embedded devices and firmware.
• Perform threat modeling, security risk assessments, and design reviews.
• Hands-on implementation of security features within embedded software environments.
• Lead security assurance activities, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Manage vulnerability remediation, security incidents, and product security updates.
