Job summary

Biometric Talent is seeking an Embedded Engineer to join our security-focused team in Derbyshire, onsite. You will develop high-integrity embedded software for cyber security products used in government and critical infrastructure projects.

You will work across the full software lifecycle with ARM-based MCUs, MISRA/CERT C standards, and debugging tools, while collaborating with engineering colleagues to deliver robust solutions. Occasional UK travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong background in embedded C/C++ development for ARM microcontrollers with multi-threaded RTOS.
• Experience with testing tools and secure coding standards (MISRA/CERT C).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test high-integrity software for cyber security products.
• Design and implement embedded C/C++ solutions across the full software lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Follow MISRA/CERT C coding standards and use embedded debugging tools.
