Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Embedded Security Expert in Hebburn, UK, to lead cybersecurity for embedded and industrial products. You’ll shape secure architectures, perform threat modeling and drive security throughout the product lifecycle.

You’ll work in a global R&D context, collaborating with teams across Germany, China, India and Austria to deliver robust security solutions and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of ARM architectures, RTOS, bootloaders and embedded protocols.
• Hands-on software development experience in C/C++.
• Experience in product development within lean processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive and govern compliance with IEC 62443, IEC 62351, ISO 27001, NIS2 and CRA requirements.
• Define secure architectures for embedded devices and firmware.
• Perform threat modeling, risk assessments and design reviews.
• Implement security features in embedded software.
• Lead security assurance activities including vulnerability testing.
• Manage remediation, incidents and security updates for products.
• Support project leaders with product and solution security (software/hardware).
• Promote secure development practices and high code quality.
