Job summary

Catch Resource Management Ltd is searching for an Embedded Engineer to join a leading organisation in Sunbury on Thames for an initial 6-month, on-site contract.

Five days per week on-site with exposure to NXP iMX8, C++, and real-time embedded software development. The team values debugging, Linux, and modern toolchains such as JLink, JTag, ICE, and Yocto.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with embedded systems (NXP iMX8 or similar platform).
• Strong knowledge of C++ programming language.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer science.
• Expertise in debugging and communication protocols (HTTP, MQTT).
• Knowledge in JLink, JTag, ICE Debugger, Serial Port Debugging.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Good to have experience with Yocto build system.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of real time embedded software and firmware, and PC/mobile based software application.
• Analyze domain specific technical requirements and propose modifications per end customer or system requirements; participate in software design.
• Perform software testing including unit, functional and system level requirements including manual and automated tests.
• Document technical deliverables like software specifications, design documents, code comments, test cases and test reports.
• Develop software solutions from existing programming languages or by learning new languages required for specific projects.
• Develop new approaches to complex design problems.

Embedded Engineer – NXP, IMX8, C++, HTTP, MqTT, Jlink, JTag, ICE, Debugging, Linux, Yotco, Embedded Engineer – £30-35ph – Contract – Sunbury

Our consultancy client is seeking an Embedded Engineer to join them for an initial 6 month engagement and work for leading organisation based in Sunbury on Thames. The role will involve 5 days per week on-site.

Key Skills:

• You have 5+ years of experience with embedded systems (NXP iMX8 or similar platform)
