Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions LTD partners with an innovative tech company in Stroud to hire an AI Engineer who will design and build embedded software, data pipelines and ML systems for sensing and communications tech.

You will join a small team owning the full SDLC, delivering robust, real-time software, CI/CD pipelines and scalable ETL workflows. A degree and 2+ years exp required; SC clearance eligibility is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of industry experience.
• Degree-level qualification or higher.
• Fluent in C, C++, and Python; experience with SQL databases.
• Analytical mindset and clean, well-documented code.
• Collaborative, able to bridge hardware, physics and software.
• Able to achieve SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, real-time embedded software in C/C++ for microelectronics and sensors.
• Implement and optimise communication protocols.
• Build automated CI/CD pipelines for ML and monitor live models.
• Develop generative AI and LLM systems, including RAG and fine-tuning.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Spark or dbt; ensure data quality and time-stamping.
• Develop data collection systems for remote environments and IoT data services.
• Maintain and query SQL databases.
• Conduct unit, integration and HiL testing to ensure reliability.
• Contribute across the SDLC from design to implementation.
• Align technical solutions with market research and customer requirements.
