Job summary

TSS is seeking an Elite Retail Security Officer for a Ramsgate site. The role requires a valid SIA SG or DS licence and a minimum of 3 years' retail security experience. You will deter theft, manage incidents, and support loss prevention while delivering excellent customer service.

The position involves various shifts across 7 days, with a proactive security approach and professional appearance. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

• Act as a highly visible security presence to protect colleagues, customers, stock, and company assets.
• Proactively identify and prevent theft, fraud, and stock loss.

• Monitor and respond to suspicious activity and security incidents.
• Conduct investigations and gather relevant information relating to theft and loss prevention incidents.
• Produce accurate incident reports using digital reporting systems.
• Build relationships with store management and retail teams.
• Ensure site security procedures and client requirements are followed.

Elite Retail Security Officer

Location: Ramsgate

Pay Rate: £16.12

Hours: Various

Shift Pattern: Various shifts between 8:45am and 7:15pm, across 7 days

SIA SG or DS Licence Essential, Driving licence also essential as this role requires you to cover multiple sites.

Minimum 3 Years' Retail Security Experience Required.

We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Elite Retail Security to join our team.

This role is ideally suited to individuals who have a proven background in retail security, loss prevention, and shrinkage reduction within busy retail environments. We are looking for confident professionals who can combine exceptional customer service with proactive theft prevention and store protection.

Please note that applications will only be considered from candidates who have a minimum of 3 years' retail security experience.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as a highly visible security presence to protect colleagues, customers, stock, and company assets
• Proactively identify and prevent theft, fraud, and stock loss
• Support the delivery of store loss prevention strategies and contribute to shrinkage reduction
• Monitor and respond appropriately to suspicious activity and security incidents
• Conduct investigations and gather relevant information relating to theft and loss prevention incidents
• Produce accurate and detailed incident reports using digital reporting systems
• Build positive working relationships with store management and retail teams
• Ensure all site security procedures and client requirements are followed at all times
• Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, and fire evacuation procedures
• Conduct staff and contractor searches where required and authorised
• Maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and customer service at all times

What We're Looking For

• A valid SIA Security Guarding (SG) or Door Supervision (DS) licence
• A minimum of 3 years' retail security experience
• Previous loss prevention, store detective, or retail crime prevention experience
• Experience identifying and preventing theft, fraud, and stock loss
• Excellent communication and conflict management skills
• A professional, smart, and highly presentable approach
• Strong written skills with experience completing incident reports and documentation
• Confidence using digital reporting systems and mobile technology
• The ability to remain calm, observant, and decisive in challenging situations
