Amey is seeking a permanent HGV Technician/Mechanic for the Mole Valley Depot (RH4 1EH) in Surrey. The role is onsite and focuses on safe, reliable fleet maintenance, diagnostics, MOT readiness, and proactive servicing.

You will work with a range of heavy goods vehicles and waste fleet equipment, ensuring high safety and quality standards. You’ll use diagnostic tools, maintain thorough records on tablets, and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry

Qualificações

• Experience in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles and municipal fleet.
• COSHH awareness and safety compliance.
• Industry certifications (City & Guilds/IRTEC/NVQ) desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Use advanced diagnostics to identify faults and perform repairs.
• Dismantle and overhaul vehicle components.
• Complete maintenance to DVSA standards and prepare for MOTs.
• Record-keeping with tablets/PDAs for inspections and job cards.
• Test equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and performance.
• Follow health and safety policies in all tasks.
• Upskill with new technologies and methods.
• Assist with roadside breakdowns as needed.
