Job summary

Otis in the United Kingdom is seeking an installation Engineer to join its international team. Your core duty is to safely install elevator units while prioritizing passenger safety and stakeholder needs.

You will work on site, liaising with customers and ensuring quality from installation through final checks. We value hands-on engineers with elevator installation experience, a NVQ3 level, a valid driving license and a willingness to travel and stay overnight when required.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic with knowledge of elevator equipment and installation principles.
• NVQ3 level installation qualification.
• Driver's license.
• At least 6 months of experience in elevators or installation sites.
• Good electrical and mechanical skills.
• Able to read plans and perform calculations.
• Interest in technical products and new technologies.
• Appreciation for manual trades and finishing work.

Responsibilities

• Install new elevators with quality and efficiency.
• Follow EH&S guidelines on site.
• Stay away overnight when required.
• Liaise with customers on site to build a good working relationship.
• Conduct inspections before and after installation to ensure safety and quality.
