Job summary

Otis is seeking an Lift Installation Engineer to join the team in Bristol and surrounding areas. The role focuses on safely installing a portfolio of elevator units while ensuring passenger safety and stakeholder satisfaction.

On-site work requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, plan reading ability and NVQ3 qualification. A driver’s license and a minimum of six months’ elevator experience are essential. Training and company-provided tools are offered.

Qualifications

• As a qualified mechanic, you apply elevator engineering principles to Installation.
• You are qualified to install elevators to NVQ3 level.
• You hold a driver's license.
• You have at least 6 months of experience in elevators, ideally on installation or on-site.
• You have good electrical and mechanical skills.
• You are comfortable with plan reading and calculations.
• You have an appetite for technical products and new technologies.
• You appreciate manual trades and seeing completed work.

Responsibilities

• Install new elevators with quality and efficiency.
• Work safely in line with Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
• Stay away overnight as required.
• Liaise directly with the customer on site to build a good working relationship.
• Conduct inspections before and after installation to ensure high quality and safety.
