Job summary

Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts seeks a Breakfast Chef to prepare and serve a premium breakfast offering for both the restaurant and in-room dining. You will manage your section, uphold top culinary standards, and support the kitchen before and after service.

You will contribute to mise-en-place, prepare daily team lunches, and assist during peak periods while ensuring safety, hygiene, and exceptional guest satisfaction through clear communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate a flair and passion for food and food presentation
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to deliver exceptional standards in a pressurised environment
• Hold a recognised, current Food Hygiene Certificate
• Previous experience within a similar role

Responsibilities

• Preparing and servicing an elevated breakfast offering for the restaurant and in-room dining
• Ensuring that the highest culinary standards are maintained at all times
• Carrying out all service standards and the efficient operation of the kitchen function pre and post service
• Preparing mise-en-place
• Preparing daily Team Member lunch
• Assisting the kitchen team during busy service periods as and when required
• Ensuring quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, carrying out daily checking procedures
• Maintaining effective communication and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining an effective operation to ensure guest satisfaction
• Ensuring a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, and hygiene
