Job summary

RTX in Glenrothes, Scotland, is seeking a qualified engineer to join the night shift testing team. You will diagnose and test complex analogue and digital electronic assemblies, down to component level, and ensure test records are accurate and complete.

Responsibilities include performing functional testing, maintaining calibration plans for test equipment, and supporting engineering investigations to drive cost and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HNC in electronics or equivalent.
• Significant experience with testing and diagnostics of complex analogue and digital electronic assemblies down to component level.
• Proven ability to set up and utilise various types of lab equipment for manual production test & debug purposes.
• Good understanding of electronics including theoretical and practical knowledge of analogue and digital circuitry, able to interpret circuit diagrams and communicate circuit functionality effectively.
• Ability to interpret test specifications to carry out manual production test requirements & debug.
• Ability to work to production schedules without detracting from product quality and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing and diagnostics of complex electronic assemblies.
• Maintain accurate test records and reports.
• Diagnose test equipment faults and support corrective actions.
• Assist engineering with investigations and initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.
