Job summary

RTX's MRO facility in Marston Green, Birmingham, is seeking an Electronics Technician for onsite night shifts to maintain electronic engine control systems and related units. The role requires careful disassembly, testing and calibration, with a strong emphasis on quality and timely delivery.

You will work closely with a skilled team, participate in continuous improvement, and engage in training to develop professional capabilities while supporting efficient operations and safety standards.

• Electronics experience and qualifications (HNC, HND).
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to shift patterns.

Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom – Collins Aerospace MRO Facility, Marston Green.

Position: Electronics Technician – Onsite.

At our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Marston Green, we provide specialist technical support for Electronic Engine Control, Fuel Metering units, Actuators and Pump units widely used in the Aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, evaluate, assemble and test electronic engine control systems in accordance with relevant customer, design and quality procedures meeting all customer specifications and expectations
• Meet turn around time and output targets by adopting a flexible approach within the team and carrying out all tasks directly impacting upon turn around time including document processing and product conformance/release
• Apply appropriate quality assurance techniques and accept responsibility for individual and team standards
• Actively participate in CORE and Continuous Improvement activities
• Assist, through training, in the development of colleagues
• Maintain all relevant operational control processes such as visual management boards/IT systems and planning schedules
