Qualifications

• HNC/HND in electronics or electrical engineering
• Experience with electronic fault finding, repair and problem solving
• Experience in a technical support role
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
• Works to tight deadlines
• Team player with strong communication and reporting skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Business Central
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise multiple projects
• Soldering to IPC standards
• First Aid certified
• Fire warden trained

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and provide reports/quotations for subsea acoustic sensors
• Perform quality control checks on subsea products
• Build, assemble and repair PCBs, including IPC soldering
• Inspect, test and prepare rental equipment
• Quality control oversight
• Respond to customer queries
• Source parts on the Company ERP system
• Report non-conformances on products
• Liaise with Engineering when drawings need updating
• Follow HSEQ policies and industry standards
• Use and update internal systems

We are seeking an Electronics Technician to join our Aberdeen team. This is a workshop-based role offering full training and strong development opportunities.

You’ll work hands-on with subsea acoustic products, CCTV systems and subsea and thermal imaging cameras, developing your technical expertise while building the confidence to take ownership of tasks and deliver excellent customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and provide reports and quotations for subsea acoustic sensors
• Perform quality control checks on all subsea products
• Build, assemble and repair PCB, including soldering in line with Company procedures and drawings
• Inspect, test, and prepare rental equipment
• Quality Control
• Respond to customer queries

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
