Job summary

SEA Group in Barnstaple is seeking an Electronics Team Leader to drive electrical and electronic design across the full product lifecycle. You will lead a small team, deliver to cost, time and quality, and collaborate with customers and cross-disciplinary teams to uphold standards.

You will mentor engineers, manage line-resources, and promote process improvements while ensuring health, safety and environmental responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading electrical/electronic design across product lifecycles.
• Strong knowledge of analogue/digital circuits and PCB design.
• Line management, recruitment support and team development.
• Understanding of V&V processes and industry standards.

Electronics Team Leaderwill be based at our Barnstaplesite. This role allows for flexible working.

The salary for this role is up to £67k, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

• Lead electrical and electronic design and development across the full product lifecycle, ensuring delivery to cost, time, and quality. Provide technical expertise on analogue/digital circuits, PCB design, and electro-mechanical systems while supporting product manufacturing, installation, and service life.
• Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing. Contribute to company standards, bid preparation, and proposals. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and customers to ensure compliance with requirements, V&V processes, and industry standards.
• Undertake line management duties, including resource allocation, recruitment support, and team development. Ensure team welfare, tools, and safety compliance. Promote excellence, implement new processes, and empower team members to grow while maintaining environmental, health, and safety responsibilities.
