Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic systems from concept through to production.
• Provide expert technical guidance on all areas of electronics.
• Analyse electronic circuits.
• Generate requirements for electronic systems.
• Capture schematics and designs.
• Provide PCB layout advice and review.
• Select and review components.
• Take on varied engineering tasks to support projects and programs.
• Participate in internal and external meetings.
• Interface with customers on technical and project issues.
• Document your work in line with local operating procedures.
• Take an active role in Continuous Improvement.

Essential: Qualifications / skills required

• A minimum of HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, demonstrating your strong education background.
• Extensive experience in electronic design, ideally in a regulated or high‑reliability industry.
• A team player mentality, thriving in a collaborative and supportive work environment. Quick learner with a flexible and adaptable approach.
• Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Strong analogue circuit design and simulation experience.
• Electronics communication protocol experience, e.g. RS485, I2C, SPI.
• Experience with schematic capture and drawing review.
• Understanding of PCB layout supervision.
• Ability to plan own tasks and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels.

Desirable

• Experience with EMC design.
• Digital circuit design.
• Wiring definition experience.
• Experience with Altium Designer.
• Experience working within the defence or aerospace.
