Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1® Team is seeking an Electronics Support Engineer for our Silverstone facility. You will oversee electronic systems and hardware to support car operation, contributing to our ambition to be the best in the sport.

Responsibilities include preparing systems for events, supporting on-track operation, ensuring calibration and data accuracy, fault resolution, and driving continuous improvement of procedures with a proactive, self-motivated approach.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering or similar.
• Experience providing track support within motorsport is required.
• Experience with configuring and managing motorsport data logging systems (preferably F1 SECU).
• Experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN and sensing technologies.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and wire harnessing.
• Familiarity with high voltage systems on hybrid/electric vehicles.
• Ability to plan and manage own workloads.
• Strong verbal and email communication skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working under deadlines.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office.

Requirements

What do you need to bring to the team?

• A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar
• Previous experience of providing track support within motorsport
• Experience of the configuration and management of motorsport data logging systems, preferably F1 SECU and associated tools
• Experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN and sensing technologies
• Understanding of electrical schematics and wire harnessing technology
• Familiarity of working with high voltage electrical systems on hybrid or electric vehicles
• Ability to plan and manage own workloads
• Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email
• Is self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines
• Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
