Job summary

GTS Group Ltd in Hertfordshire is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to lead a team of Production Engineers and Drawing Office staff, owning the wider Production Engineering function.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on NPI, developing build documentation and tooling, and improving processes, layouts and efficiency across lines. You will collaborate with Production and Planning and drive project success while meeting customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an engineering team.
• Strong Production/Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Background within electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with NPI.
• Track record of continuous improvement.
• Good planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a Production Engineering team.
• Manage NPI and introduction of new products into manufacturing.
• Improve manufacturing processes, efficiency and line/cell layouts.
• Develop build documentation and tooling.
• Work closely with Production and Planning.
• Manage engineering projects and customer requirements.
• Provide technical and operational leadership across the department.
