With a hands-on approach, you will own production and test processes, lead NPI activities, implement work instructions, work closely with Engineering and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement across the global

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering roles including NPI and production support.
• Background in electronics/electro-mechanical environments.
• Experience taking products from development to manufacture.
• Proficient in ERP and Lean/Six Sigma or CI methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimise production and test processes to ensure quality, efficiency and reliability.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from design through to manufacture and ongoing support.
• Develop and implement work instructions and manufacturing documentation using digital platforms.
• Support and provide day-to-day leadership to the manufacturing team.
• Manage ERP and Shop Floor Data Collection systems.
• Work closely with Engineering to improve manufacturability, product quality and production efficiency.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontract manufacturers to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and training initiatives.

Senior Production and Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Luton, UK

We are seeking a talented and motivated Production & Manufacturing Engineer Team Lead to join a busy and dynamic technology company based near Luton.

This role would suit a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, NPI Engineer or Manufacturing Process Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving manufacturing processes and leading the introduction of new products into production.

Working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams, you will play a key role in ensuring products move smoothly from design into manufacture, while driving continuous improvements in quality, efficiency and reliability. • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
