Job summary

QinetiQ Target Systems, part of QinetiQ Group PLC, is seeking a Product Support Engineer in Ashford, Kent. The role covers the build, repair, testing and service of electronic systems at QTS and customer sites, with a focus on diagnosing faults and supporting customers worldwide.

You will interpret schematics and drawings, update documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement while collaborating across teams. A strong electronics background and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic testing, including RF testing, fault finding, calibration, and the use of associated test equipment.
• Comfortable working directly with customers onsite and in customer-facing situations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical fault-finding approach.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, upgrade, testing, calibration, and servicing of electronic system equipment at QTS and external customer sites.
• Component-level fault finding, technical support across the business, documentation updates, and identifying improvements.
• Interpret electrical schematics, BOMs, engineering drawings, and test specifications; maintain records per quality requirements.
