Job summary

TT Electronics in Barnstaple, UK, is seeking an Electronics Harness and Wireperson for manufacturing sub-assemblies and rack systems. You will work within the operations team on a shift from 07:15 to 17:30, Monday to Thursday, contributing to high-precision assembly in a controlled aerospace environment.

As an entry-level production professional, you will follow detailed build instructions, adhere to quality standards, and collaborate with colleagues to meet schedule deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Aerospace or similar sectors.
  • Proven ability to work in low volume, high product mix environments.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy with ERP/Shop booking experience.
  • Accreditations IPC610/620 or ESA/ECSS recognised.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture checks and follow detailed build instructions accurately.
  • Produce to costed time restraints.
  • Operate in a Quality Accredited environment with aerospace controls.
  • Zero tolerance to defects; drive continuous improvement.
  • Work within a zero harm culture.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Introduction

Electronics Harness and Wireperson is a key role in the manufacture of sub assemblies & rack systems working within the operations department.The working hours for this role is 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture check & follow detailed build instructions to a high degree of accuracy
  • Manufacture product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints
  • Complete manufacturing tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
  • The role requires a zero tolerance to defects
  • Proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement
  • Work within a zero harm culture
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
  • Core Requirements: Experienced in Aerospace industry or similar industry.
  • Extensive experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments, and design to spec environments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines. Experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential andStrong attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines
  • Accreditations in IPC 610/620 or Recognised Similar such ESA/ECSS
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100
  • Knowledge or experience of Lean manufacturing or production techniques
  • Formal Apprenticeship
  • Additional accreditations such as trainer for IPC610/620 Jstd
