Job summary

TT Electronics in Barnstaple is recruiting a Magnetics Manufacturing Operative to support magnetic component manufacturing within the Operations department. The role requires precise testing/inspection and adherence to quality controls in aerospace contexts.

The working hours are 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday, with a 4-day week and a focus on continuous improvement, zero-defect culture, and safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Aerospace or similar industry.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
• Experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines.
• Accreditations in IPC 610/620 or recognised similar such ESA/ECSS.

Responsibilities

• Test and/or inspect and record manufactured or repaired product to internal or external test specifications to a high degree of accuracy with the aid of ATE, or long hand test equipment.
• Test and or Inspect product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints.
• Complete Test or Inspection tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
• The role requires a zero tolerance to defects.
• Proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement.
• Work within a zero harm culture.

• Formal apprenticeship training.
• Additional accreditations such as trainer for IPC610/620 Jstd.
