Job summary

TT Electronics Barnstaple is recruiting a Magnetics Manufacturing Operative to support the manufacture of magnetic components in the Operations department. Working hours are 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday, in a four-day week structure.

Role focuses on testing, inspection, and strict adherence to quality and schedule constraints, with emphasis on zero defects and continuous improvement within a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Aerospace or similar industry.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using ERP/Shop booking systems.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills.

Role Overview And Responsibilities

We're currently recruiting for a Magnetics Manufacturing Operative to support the manufacture of magnetic components within the Operations department.

The working hours for this role is 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Test and/or inspect and record manufactured or repaired product to internal or external test specifications to a high degree of accuracy with the aid of ATE, or long hand test equipment
• Test and or Inspect product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints
• Complete Test or Inspection tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
• The role requires a zero tolerance to defects.
• Proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement.
• Work within a zero harm culture.

Qualifications, Skills And Attributes

What We Look For:

• Experience in the Aerospace or similar industry.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
• Experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines.
• Accreditations in IPC 610/620 or recognised similar such ESA/ECSS.

The following would enhance your application but are not essential to apply:

• Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100.
• Knowledge or experience of Lean manufacturing or production techniques.
• Formal apprenticeship training.
• Additional accreditations such as trainer for IPC610/620 Jstd.
