Job summary

SYOS designs and manufactures autonomous systems and is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join the UK-based Electronics Components team. You will design and develop multi-layer PCBs and high-speed digital hardware powering autonomous vehicles.

You will work across schematic capture, PCB layout, high-speed design, prototyping and debugging, collaborating with Software, Design and Manufacturing to ensure reliable, production-ready solutions. The role supports hybrid or remote work from the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• At least three years of professional electronic hardware design experience.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software (Altium, KiCad, Fusion, Eagle).
• Experience designing multi-layer PCBs (six layers or more) and controlled-impedance routing.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed digital design, signal integrity, differential pairs, impedance matching.

Responsibilities

• Develop electronic schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts for camera modules and vision systems.
• Design high-speed digital circuits with emphasis on signal integrity.
• Integrate digital control logic and analogue conditioning for robust performance.
• Support FPGA and microcontroller integration for image processing tasks.
• Design hardware interfaces (USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART) for reliable data transmission.
• Prototype, test, debug hardware, address EMI/EMC and thermal issues.
• Document designs, test plans, and manufacturing guidelines with cross-functional teams.
