Job summary

Ensera Design seeks an Electronics Engineer to join the Electronics & Software team in Bristol on a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential to extend. The role is mainly full-time (38 hrs/week) at Bristol, with some home working and possible part-time options.

You will design electronic systems from concept to production, consult with clients, lead project activities and contribute to proposals, planning and specifications. Strong PCB, EMC/CE experience and embedded C/C++ are valued.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge and experience of Electronic Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electronics first principles and ability to perform basic hand calculations.
• Experience with 32-bit ARM micro‑controllers (e.g. STM32, nRF).
• In-depth understanding of common wired and wireless communications protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, Bluetooth LE, USB, Ethernet).
• Understanding of best practice in PCB layout.
• Experience with low power circuit design.
• Comfortable presenting work to others.
• Enjoy collaborating with other engineering and design disciplines in project teams.
• Solid commercial awareness and time/budget management.
• Experience designing and testing for CE/FCC, EMC, radio, safety compliance.
• Experience working in a consultancy environment.
• Experience developing systems from concept to design for manufacture.
• Experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience developing embedded software (C/C++).
