Ensera Design in Bristol is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our world-class team and contribute to delivering innovative solutions for clients in medical devices and consumer health.

You will lead electromechanical design, develop numerical models (FEA/CFD), mentor juniors, and collaborate with software, electronics and design colleagues to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Salary bands apply (£51,000–£73,954) with flexibility based on experience.

Qualifications

• Focus on engineering principles and analysis to guide electromechanical design.
• Experience developing numerical models (FEA/CFD) for electromechanical systems.
• Experience designing mechanical systems from concept through manufacture.
• Experience in medical device development (ISO13485) and risk management (ISO14971).
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and mentor juniors.
• Strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience in leading projects and delivering on time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead electromechanical system design projects across hardware and software teams.
• Develop numerical models (FEA/CFD) and perform tolerance analysis.
• Collaborate with electronics, software and design colleagues to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and manage junior team members.
• Ensure delivery quality outputs on time and within budget.
