Job summary

SoCode Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Contract Electronics Engineer to join an established UK medical technology business on a 6-month basis, with potential to roll.

The role is hybrid: 3 days on site in Cambridge with the rest remote, focusing on embedded electronics design, schematic capture, and hands-on board bring-up and testing. You will collaborate with an experienced electronics team on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Broad electronics design foundation with deep experience in embedded MCUs, motor drives, LV power, FPGA, sensors or high-speed communications.
• Proven ability to take designs from inception through manufacturing.
• Experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and guiding PCB outputs.

Responsibilities

• Work embedded within an existing electronics team to support the design, capture and review of complex electronics.
• Contribute to requirements, schematic capture, design reviews and PCBA layout.
• Support board bring-up and system test activities.
