Associated British Ports (ABP) is recruiting an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our Southampton team. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across radar, CCTV, VHF radio, X‑ray and other electronic assets, working from the Port of Southampton with on‑call duties.
Based at ABP’s site, you will hold an HNC in electronics, have a full driving licence and be comfortable working at height. We offer pension, private healthcare, training and generous leave.

We're currently looking to recruit an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team in Southampton. Working in a team of 4 you'll play a key role in delivering preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of assets. Whether looking after the radar equipment, our VHF Radio systems, vast CCTV network or ensuring the X-Ray equipment in our cruise terminals, the role will provide you with a unique asset base to maintain.
Based from our Port Of Southampton, you will need to hold a full UK Driving Licence to travel across the full port estate. You'll need to be comfortable working at height and over/on water. The role works regular days, but with a 1 in 4 oncall roster to provide 365 24/7 coverage to the port.
Planned/reactive maintenance activities:
To carry out Electronic Testing, Inspection, and fault finding including remedial works, down to component level.
To work in a safe manner, assist with the collation and updating of risk assessments and work in accordance with ABP’s safe systems of work.
Complete relevant paperwork and provide Mainsaver administrators sufficient information to keep the system up to date.
