Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team is offering an Electronics Design Student Placement in Enstone for a 12-month stint starting July 2027. You will support electrical system development across on-car, wind tunnel, and factory test environments, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver compliant, reliable designs.

You will work on schematic design, PCB layout, harness design, and documentation, gaining exposure to race‑critical electronics within a high-performance F1 setting.

Qualifications

  • Currently studying a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university.
  • Strong understanding of electronics design principles and circuit theory.
  • Experience with ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, Zuken).
  • Familiarity with PCB design, wiring harnesses, and embedded systems.
  • Passion for motorsport and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role.
  • Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September.

As an Electronics Design Student Placement, you’ll be part of a team that delivers cutting‑edge solutions to meet the demands of Formula One racing.

The Role

During your placement, you’ll support the design and development of electrical systems and components across on car, wind tunnel, pitstop and other factory test equipment projects. You’ll work closely with experienced electronics engineers, contributing to schematic design, PCB layout, harness design, and documentation processes that ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with F1 regulations.
