Job summary

OrganOx is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to design, develop and support electronics for medical devices. The role covers full lifecycle from concept through manufacturing handover, with emphasis on regulation and safety compliance.

The successful candidate will work on on-site projects at the Oxford office, collaborating with cross-functional teams including quality and regulatory, with potential for remote design input as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electronics design within regulated environments is desirable.
• Familiarity with IEC 60601, ISO 13485 or related medical device standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic circuits and PCB layouts with focus on reliability and safety.
• Create schematics and PCB designs (Altium preferred).
• Select components and perform design calculations to meet specs.
• Conduct design verification/validation per IEC 60601 and standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers for integration.
• Support prototype assembly, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Support transfer to manufacturing and supplier engagement for electronics.
