Are you an experienced electronics technician looking for a dynamic and varied role? KO2's client, based in Leicester, is seeking a skilled electronics technician to join their team in supporting the production of complex components for the oil and gas sector. This is not your typical desk-based position – you’ll be hands-on, diagnosing and repairing machinery, and working closely with engineers and the production manager.

As an electronics technician, your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems, fault-finding components, and helping to build new equipment. You’ll need to be proactive, as you will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving issues as they arise, often without immediate supervision. The role offers plenty of variety, with tasks ranging from soldering and diagnostics to assisting with the overall production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and repairing complex electronics systems and components
  • Supporting the production team by resolving breakdowns and technical issues
  • Assisting with the development and assembly of new equipment
  • Working closely with engineers and the production manager to maintain smooth operations

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong electronics technician background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in high-tech projects for the oil and gas sector in a hands-on environment.
