Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Staverton, Gloucestershire, is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to support test equipment design, development, build, commissioning and maintenance within a thriving manufacturing environment.

The role covers NPI and production test systems, with hands-on development and collaboration across engineering teams. Experience in embedded C, Python, LabVIEW and CAD tools is desirable to realise robust test solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and build of electronic test equipment.
• Hardware development and integration focused on measurement capability.
• Embedded C, Python experience desirable.
• LabVIEW application development exposure.
• CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar) for test systems concepts.
• Strong understanding of electronic test methods and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and supporting automated test systems internally.
• Developing equipment for both product introductions (NPI) and ongoing production.
• Maintaining and enhancing existing test.
• Investigating and resolving test-related issues affecting manufacturing.
• Collaborating with wider engineering teams to ensure effective test coverage.
• Analysing test data to identify opportunities for system improvements.
• Developing technical documentation, work instructions, and support materials.
