Job summary

Staffline in Staverton, Gloucestershire is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join the test equipment team. The role covers design, build, commissioning, and maintenance of automated test systems for production environments.

The successful candidate will have experience in electronic test equipment, hardware development for measurement, and exposure to LabVIEW, CAD (SolidWorks or similar), and embedded C/Python. On-site role with broad coverage across development and manufacturing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and build of electronic test equipment.
• Hardware development and integration focused on measurement capability.
• Embedded C, Python experience desirable.
• LabVIEW application development exposure.
• Experience realising test system design concepts with CAD (SolidWorks or similar).
• A good understanding of electronic test methods and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and supporting automated test systems internally.
• Developing equipment for both product introductions (NPI) and ongoing production.
• Maintaining and enhancing existing test.
• Investigating and resolving test-related issues affecting manufacturing.
• Collaborating with wider engineering teams to ensure effective test coverage.
• Analysing test data to identify opportunities for system improvements.
• Developing technical documentation, work instructions, and support materials.
