Job summary

Omega Gloucestershire is seeking a capable Test Development Engineer to join a thriving engineering and manufacturing team. You will help design, develop, build, commission and maintain automated test equipment, with broad role coverage across projects and production.

The role requires hardware development, embedded C and Python where relevant, CAD in SolidWorks, and strong problem solving to improve test coverage, data analysis and documentation for products from NPI through production.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and build of electronic test equipment.
• Hardware development and integration focused on measurement capability
• Embedded C, Python experience desirable.
• Experience realising test system design concepts with CAD (SolidWorks or similar)
• A good understanding of electronic test methods and fault finding

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and supporting automated test systems internally.
• Developing equipment for both product introductions (NPI) and ongoing production.
• Maintaining and enhancing existing test.
• Investigating and resolving test-related issues affecting manufacturing.
• Collaborating with wider engineering teams to ensure effective test coverage.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a rounded Test Development Engineer to join a thriving engineering and manufacturing business in Gloucestershire.

As a Test Equipment Engineer, you'll support a number of areas including Test Equipment Design, Development, build, commissioning and maintenance.

Being a medium sized business, this role would suit someone who wants wide role coverage and an opportunity to develop in across these areas combining hands on support with technical engineering capability.
