Electromechanical Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

The supplier quality engineer shall provide an additional 50 hours of support to the customer's internal quality team per month. Responsibilities include conducting internal audits, following up on open non-conformance reports, and working with the corrective action board. Travel may be required to visit various supplier facilities to resolve open NCRs and perform inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. Possible travel destinations include Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Norway. Parts will be inspected according to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications. The candidate must be a PPAP/APQP specialist, helping to implement and roll out these processes to key suppliers.

Requirements

• Practical experience performing internal audits or similar.
• Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on electrical parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders.
• Experience using mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 and knowledge of standards like IPC-A-610 is highly desirable.
• Minimum of five years' experience in marine, aerospace, or military/defense manufacturing with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Role is approximately 50 hours per month. Outside IR35.
