An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Electromechanical Supplier Quality Engineer for a contract role in New Malden. This position involves providing essential support to the internal quality team, conducting internal audits, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. We are currently looking for an Electromechanical Supplier Quality Engineer for a contract role based in New Malden.
Job Description:
The supplier quality engineer shall provide an additional 50 hours of support to the customers internal quality team per month.
The Engineer shall conduct internal audits, and follow up on open non-conformance reports, working with the corrective action board.
Travel may well be required to visit various supplier facilities to action the resolution of open NCR's as well as perform inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
Possible travel to suppliers in Germany, Italy, Denmark, Norway.
Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.
Requirements:
Candidate must have practical experience performing internal audits, or similar.
Candidate must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on electrical parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs). The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge of applicable industry standards like IPC-A-610 or equivalent is highly desired.
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in marine, aerospace or military / defence manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Role is for approximately 50 hours per month.
