Job Description:

Overview

The supplier quality engineer shall provide an additional 50 hours of support to the customer's internal quality team per month.

The Engineer shall conduct internal audits, follow up on open non-conformance reports, and work with the corrective action board.

Travel may be required to visit various supplier facilities to resolve open NCRs and perform inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.

Possible travel destinations include Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Norway.

Parts will be inspected according to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications.

Requirements:

• Candidate must have practical experience performing internal audits or similar activities.
• Practical experience in performing in-process and final inspections on electrical parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies is required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders.
• Experience using mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 standard is highly desired.
• Knowledge of industry standards like IPC-A-610 or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum of five years' experience in inspections within marine, aerospace, or military/defense manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

The role is approximately 50 hours per month.
