Electromechanical Supplier Quality Engineer (H/F)

VTR UK Staffing London, New Malden - Grand Londres, Royaume-Uni

Contract: Up to £35 per hour

We are currently seeking an Electromechanical Supplier Quality Engineer for a contract role based in New Malden.

Job Description:

  1. The supplier quality engineer will provide an additional 50 hours of support per month to the internal quality team.
  2. Conduct internal audits and follow up on open non-conformance reports, collaborating with the corrective action team.
  3. Travel may be required to visit supplier facilities in Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Norway to resolve NCRs and perform inspections on parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
  4. Inspect parts according to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications.

Requirements:

  1. Practical experience in performing internal audits or similar quality assessments.
  2. Experience in in-process and final inspections of electrical parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
  3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders.
  4. Proficiency with mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  5. Experience with First Article Inspections (FAIs) following AS9102 standards and knowledge of industry standards like IPC-A-610 or equivalent is highly desirable.
  6. Minimum of five years' experience in inspection roles within marine, aerospace, or military/defense manufacturing sectors, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

This role involves approximately 50 hours per month.
