Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Product Development Engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience to design and build equipment. The role combines CAD work in Solidworks with hands-on testing and assembly, offering a flexible day shift and opportunities for progression.

The position involves designing mechanical assemblies and electrical subsystems, prototyping, selecting parts for cost and performance, and maintaining technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in both mechanical and electrical projects.
• Solidworks CAD design and PCB design experience.
• Experience supporting projects from concept through to design.
• Willingness to engage in hands-on testing and assembly as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD (Solidworks).
• Design and support electrical/electronic subsystems (PCB layout coordination, wiring harnesses, sensors, etc).
• Build and test prototypes.
• Select components and materials based on cost, manufacturability, and performance.
• Create and maintain BOMs, drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
